Press Release
NEW "DRY-WETCLEANING" PROCESS,
May 2001

MIAMI, FL -- Aero-Tech USA is introducing Dry-Wetcleaningª, a new process for cleaning and freshening garments.

The solution DWX 44, Dry-Wetcleanerª, is an aqueous-based proprietary formulation of chemicals and additives used in traditional wetcleaning. The company says the process could eliminate health, environmental, customer, landlord, cost and regulatory issues associated with other drycleaning processes.

Garments are cleaned in the patent-pending "Green-Jetª Dry-Wetcleaningª machine which uses a jet-air pulsating system to dislodge loose dirt and soil from garments and de-lint them and then jet sprays DWX44 Dry-Wet Cleaning solution that permeates into and through the garments to clean and freshen them.

Specially designed filters and reusable blotters, or pads, in the machine scrub, attract and absorb the dirt and soil that is left. The garments are then tumble-dried.

Aero-Tech said the process cleans all colors and fabrics in the same load in a single unit and that it can handle most of the garments brought to a professional drycleaning or wetcleaning stores. Garments do not need to be transferred from a washing machine to a drying machine. The start-to-finish time is about 30 minutes per load.

leaning results are similar to what used to be produced with fluorocarbon cleaning, the company said. No special handling is needed for most beads, sequins, buttons, trimmings and difficult garments. Garments come out free of odor and static and with minimal lint with manufacturers' finishes intact. Delicates can be safely cleaned, colors come out bright, stains are not set and wrinkling is minimal.

Aero-Tech also said that the process poses no threat of environmental contamination and that it is non-toxic, anti-odor, non-flammable, non-VOC, contains no hazardous air pollutants and is chemically inert. OSHA labeling is not required nor is it regulated by RCRA or CERCLA.

Aero-Tech said that the process saves energy, pressing time and disposals costs and that no special detergents or additives are required.
